Answer a station now

Pick a station. You get two minutes to read and plan, then five minutes to answer out loud. Then check what you covered.

Ethics2:00

You are a junior doctor. Sam, aged 15, has come in alone and asks you not to tell their mother why. Their mother is in the waiting room and asks you what is going on. Talk the examiner through how you would handle it.

Press start: two minutes to read and plan, then five minutes to answer out loud.

How a station is marked

In the portal every station is marked out of 16 against four domains, four points each. Every point is a tick or a cross, and every cross comes with how to earn it next time. The AI and our tutors use the same key.

4

Structure

Direction set early, points grouped logically, signposted transitions and a definite close.

4

Content

The core issue named, the stakeholders covered, reasons rather than assertions, and a real link to medicine.

4

Delivery

Clear and paced, composed, pauses rather than filler, and a tone that fits the listener.

4

Judgement

Safe, both sides weighed, a position you justify, and a mature, authentic voice.

We have a very good experience with this centre. Hari the owner of the centre is very hands-on and helpful. He patiently explains things to me, and always offer helpful advise. My child was with them for Yr 12 tutoring, and their support and help are second to none.

I highly recommend their ATAR tutoring services. My daughter, who is currently doing ATAR this year, is receiving face to face individual tutoring for Human Biology. Both the tutor and the management team, especially Hari, have been consistently helpful, attentive, and ensure everything is working smoothly.

I have already been recommending Everest tutoring in my circle of contact. Hari is very approachable and helpful. All of their tutors are brilliant. My son in year 11 appreciates the work Everest tutoring does and never likes to miss any sessions. They give quality assessment materials and work books.

Quick answers

Is Try a station really free?

Yes. No account, no email. It runs in your browser, and if you turn the camera on the recording stays on your device and is gone when you close the page.

How is this different from the portal?

Here you check your own answer against a short list. In the portal every answer is marked out of 16 against four domains, with your answer marked up line by line, and you can send answers to a tutor for a real mark and a video reply.

What is an MMI?

A multiple mini interview. Instead of one long panel, you move between short stations, each with its own examiner and its own task: an ethical situation, a role play, a question about you, or a piece of policy to reason through. Every station is scored on its own, so one shaky station does not sink the day. Most medicine interviews in Australia run this way.
