Why This Masterclass? Your Key to a High MMI Score
✅ Interview-Experienced Tutors – Learn from tutors who conquered the interviews. Our team is made up of current medical and dental students who aced their UWA/Curtin interviews and earned offers. They know exactly what it’s like to sit in that chair under pressure. Throughout the course, they’ll mentor you, share insider tips, and keep you motivated. You’ll be coached by people who were in your shoes and succeeded, not just generic instructors.
✅ 4 Days of Expert Training – We dedicate four intensive days to teaching you how to excel in every MMI station. From ethical dilemmas to personal questions, you’ll master proven frameworks for structuring your responses. We break down the core competencies UWA and Curtin assess – communication, ethical reasoning, empathy, teamwork, problem-solving, self-awareness, resilience – and show you how to showcase these qualities in your answers. Each 3-hour class (Nov 16–19, 11am–2pm) is engaging and interactive: we discuss sample questions, demonstrate top-notch answers vs. poor answers, and get you practicing out loud. By the end, you’ll have a toolbox of strategies for any question thrown your way.
✅ 2 Full Mock MMIs with Feedback – Practice makes perfect! On Days 5 and 6 (Nov 20 & 21), you will sit two complete mock MMIs under realistic exam conditions. Just like the real UWA/Curtin interviews, our mocks consist of 8 timed stations. You’ll rotate through stations with different interviewers (including med students and professionals) and face a fresh scenario at each – from role-plays to ethical cases. We simulate the exact format: you get 2 minutes to read a prompt, then 5 minutes of speaking with an interviewer per station (we’ll train for Curtin’s format too, which is similar) . It’s intense practice that will make the actual interview day feel familiar. After each mock, we don’t just send you home – we provide a detailed debrief and personalized feedback. Every student gets one-on-one comments on each station: what you did well, where you stumbled, and specific tips to improve. This kind of targeted feedback is gold – you’ll walk away knowing exactly how to refine your performance before the real thing.
✅ Personalised Learning – We believe in quality over quantity. That’s why we cap interview circuit sizes. In this masterclass, you won’t be lost in a crowd or fighting for attention. Every mock interview session is run in a small-group format, so you can ask questions freely, get to know your instructors, and get feedback. We make sure to engage every student – whether it’s through answering practice questions or receiving direct critiques. It’s an intimate, supportive environment where you can grow quickly. (And if you’re attending online, we’ll keep you just as involved through live Q&A and interactive activities.)
✅ Proven Frameworks (Not Rote Answers) – No, we’re not going to hand you a script to memorise – and neither will any credible course (interviewers can spot rehearsed answers easily ). Instead, we teach flexible frameworks and approaches that allow you to craft authentic, well-structured responses on the fly. For example, you’ll learn step-by-step methods for tackling ethical scenarios (e.g. consider stakeholders, principles like autonomy/beneficence, etc.), frameworks for behavioural questions (like the STAR method for “Tell me about a time…”), and strategies for role-plays (e.g. how to show empathy and resolve conflict). These frameworks are battle-tested – they’ve helped many students before you succeed – and they ensure you cover all the important points in a clear, logical way. Come interview day, you’ll have a mental roadmap for any question instead of blanking out.
✅ All-Inclusive Prep – No Hidden Costs – This course is a one-stop shop for your interview prep. All materials are included: you’ll receive comprehensive course booklets, a library of practice MMI questions (with sample answers and explanations), and take-home exercises to work on. You’ll also get guidance on dentistry-specific questions if relevant. Unlike some programs, we don’t upsell you on add-ons – two full mock interviews and all feedback sessions are part of the course fee. (We do offer optional extras like additional one-on-one mock sessions or private coaching, but you won’t need to purchase anything else to be fully prepared!). It’s all built into this masterclass, saving you money and hassle.
✅ Real WA Focus – This masterclass is designed specifically for UWA and Curtin undergraduate interviews. We’re WA locals and we know the ins and outs of these programs’ selection criteria. For example, Curtin’s med school places a strong emphasis on primary care and serving rural communities – so we’ll make sure you’re ready for questions on rural vs urban health care, Indigenous health issues, and other local contexts. UWA’s MMI might dig into ethical scenarios or teamwork experiences – we’ve got you covered there too. Every piece of content is tailored to what UWA and Curtin care about. This isn’t a generic Australia-wide course where you waste time on irrelevant material; we focus on what will actually help you succeed in Perth’s MMI interviews. (If you’ve applied interstate as well, the skills you learn will certainly carry over – but our priority is maximizing your performance for your WA interviews.)
✅ Best Value in Perth – Affordable & Effective – We know specialized interview prep can be expensive. But we’ve made this program incredibly cost-effective so that finances aren’t a barrier to your success. The entire 6-day course (4 classes + 2 mock days) is just $749, and only $590 with early bird discount. Bring a friend and you BOTH get 20% off, making it as low as $472 per person! Compare that to other courses: local competitors charge over $1,000 for similar (or less comprehensive) packages , and often that doesn’t even include full mock interviews. Everest’s masterclass gives you more – more hours of instruction, more practice, more personal feedback – for a fraction of the cost. We’re passionate about helping students, which is why we pack so much value in. (Payment plans are available too – just ask – and remember the early bird pricing ends Nov 1.) Quality interview prep is an investment in your future, and we’ve ensured Everest offers the best bang for your buck in WA.
✅ Urgency & Results – Don’t Leave It to Chance – Medicine and dentistry interviews are right around the corner (Curtin and UWA interviews typically run in late Nov/early Dec ). You’ll only get one shot at this, and the stakes are sky-high – these interviews can be 40–50% of your admission score ! Many brilliant students miss out each year because they underestimated the interview. Don’t let that be you. Our masterclass is timed perfectly: it runs after WACE exams and just before your interviews, so you’ll be at peak readiness. We deliberately limit places to keep quality high, which means once we fill up, that’s it – we cannot cram in extra students last-minute (our mock circuits have a fixed capacity to run properly). If you’re serious about getting into UWA or Curtin, now is the time to act. Every year, spots fill fast for interview prep because everyone realizes how crucial it is. Secure your spot today – give yourself the confidence of knowing you’ve done everything possible to shine in that interview room. We’ll help you get there. 💪
What You’ll Learn: Skills & Stations Mastered
Over the first four days, our curriculum methodically covers all the key skills and station types you may encounter in the UWA and Curtin MMIs. Here’s a glimpse of what we drill into during the training sessions:
Personal & Motivational Questions: “Why Medicine?” “Why Dentistry?” “Tell us about yourself.” – You’ll learn how to tackle these open-ended personal questions with confidence and authenticity. We help you formulate compelling answers that convey your passion for healthcare (without sounding cliché) and highlight your strengths and experiences. By practicing these aloud, you’ll refine your delivery to be sincere and memorable. We also prepare you for tricky follow-ups like “Why not another profession?” or addressing sensitive motivations.
Ethical Decision-Making & Moral Reasoning: Expect scenarios that test your integrity and ethics. We’ll teach you how to systematically approach ethical dilemmas using principles of medical ethics (autonomy, beneficence, non-maleficence, justice). Whether it’s a question about patient confidentiality, resource allocation, or a moral conflict, you’ll be ready to break down the scenario, consider different perspectives, and articulate a thoughtful, principled stance . You’ll practice articulating your reasoning under time pressure, so you can demonstrate ethical judgment and empathy rather than freezing up.
Role-Play & Communication Stations: Many MMI circuits include role-play stations – for example, you might have to console an upset person, resolve a dispute, or explain a complex idea to a layperson. These can be intimidating, but we’ve got you covered. Our tutors (some with drama/acting experience) will simulate common role-play scenarios and coach you on effective communication skills: body language, tone of voice, listening skills, and showing empathy. You’ll learn how to stay calm and think on your feet when an actor throws a curveball. By practicing scenarios like delivering bad news or persuading a peer to make better choices, you’ll gain the confidence to handle any interpersonal situation with compassion and clarity.
Teamwork & Conflict Resolution: “Describe a time you worked in a team,” “How do you handle conflict?” – these are classic prompts to assess your collaboration skills. We’ll help you prepare strong examples from your own experience (school projects, sports, volunteering, etc.) and use the STAR framework (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to structure your responses. Importantly, we’ll coach you on reflecting: what you learned from the experience, how you’ve grown – a key aspect interviewers look for. For conflict scenarios, we teach strategies like the CARE model for conflict resolution, so you can discuss how to approach disagreements professionally. By the end, you’ll be able to convey that you’re a team player who can lead, cooperate, and handle challenges diplomatically.
Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving: You might face an abstract problem or be asked to analyze information on the spot (for example, interpret a short article or solve a simple calculation relevant to healthcare). These stations assess your ability to think critically under pressure. We incorporate exercises to sharpen your analytical thinking: practicing how to structure an answer when given an unfamiliar scenario or a quick data analysis. You’ll learn to verbalize your thought process clearly – a crucial skill so the interviewer can follow your logic. By practicing different “curveball” questions, you’ll become comfortable with uncertainty and able to maintain composure when a strange question comes up.
Healthcare Awareness & Current Issues: UWA and Curtin want future medical professionals who are aware of the world around them. We ensure you’re up to speed on important healthcare topics, especially those relevant to Western Australia. We’ll discuss things like rural health challenges (doctor shortages in remote WA, Indigenous healthcare disparities, etc.), ethical issues in modern medicine (e.g. organ donation policies, public health vs. privacy in a pandemic), and any major current events in health. Curtin’s interview, in particular, is known to emphasize understanding of primary care and serving underserved communities , so we dig into that. We won’t overload you with minutiae, but we’ll equip you with a solid foundation of talking points and perspectives on key issues. If a question about, say, the pros and cons of telehealth or the importance of cultural competence in healthcare comes up – you’ll be ready to impress.
Self-Reflection & Resilience: Interviewers often probe your self-awareness: “What’s your greatest weakness?” “How do you deal with stress or failure?” We help you prepare genuine, positive answers to these challenging questions. You’ll learn how to discuss your weaknesses or past mistakes in a way that shows growth and humility (instead of falling into the trap of a non-answer). We also cover strategies for discussing resilience – for example, talking about how you bounced back from a tough year 12 moment or how you manage stress (mindfulness, time management, support networks, etc.). You’ll practice conveying a growth mindset, which is highly valued in medicine.
Dentistry-Specific Prep: While much of the interview content overlaps between medicine and dentistry, we make sure our dentistry applicants don’t feel like an afterthought. We include dental-focused discussions where relevant – for instance, how to answer “Why dentistry?” distinctively (and maybe why not medicine), ethical scenarios that could apply to dental practice, and awareness of issues in dental health (like community fluoridation, access to dental care, etc.). Our med/dent student tutors will share insights specific to dental interviews at UWA. So if you’re aiming for that DDS, rest assured we have you covered (and if you’re applying for both med and dent, you’ll be prepped for either pathway).
By covering all these areas in depth, we leave no stone unturned. Each day of the course builds your abilities step by step – from knowledge and frameworks in the classroom, to application and performance in the mocks. Come interview day, you will have practiced every scenario, honed every skill, and transformed anxiety into confidence. 👍
Course Structure & Schedule
Our 6-day masterclass is scheduled at the optimal time – just after final exams and before interviews – so you can give interview prep your full focus. Here’s how it’s structured:
Days 1–4: Intensive Classes (Nov 16, 17, 18, 19) – 11am to 2pm each day @ Murdoch University. Each day is a deep-dive into the topics outlined above. We mix short lectures, group discussions, and lots of practice questions. Expect to be writing down ideas, delivering practice answers, and getting feedback throughout. By early afternoon each day, you’ll have learned new techniques and gotten to apply them. (You’ll also get some homework – e.g. draft answers or think of examples – which we’ll review next session.) These classes will also be live-streamed for those attending online, and recordings will be available if you have to miss a session. We want everyone to have access to the full content.
Days 5–6: Full Mock Interview Days (Nov 20 & 21) – 9am to 5pm each day @ Willetton. This is where you put everything into practice. We will assign each student a specific one-hour slot on each mock day (so you’re not there all day, only during your circuit times). In that hour, you’ll check in, get instructions, and then rotate through 8 MMI stations back-to-back, exactly like the real interview format. We’ll have a team of ~10 interviewers on-site (a mix of current med students, possibly doctors or alumni) administering the stations. Each station is timed with a 1-2 minute reading period and 5 minutes of responding. You’ll tackle a variety of scenarios covering everything we’ve taught – we make sure the set of stations is well-rounded (usually a mix of ethical scenario, personal question, role-play, teamwork scenario, current issue, etc.). After completing all 8 stations, you’ll get a short break, and then we bring you back through each station for feedback. Interviewers will spend about 5 minutes per station going over how you went – giving praise for strong points and suggestions for improvement. This means you get nearly 40 minutes of personalised feedback in total after each mock. (Yes, it’s a lot – but it’s incredibly useful!). We repeat a second full mock on Day 6 with different questions to further broaden your experience and see your improvement. By the end of these two mock interviews, you will have essentially done the real thing twice over – huge confidence boost! If you stumble in the first mock, no problem – that’s why we do a second, to apply the feedback and see growth.
(Can’t attend the mock days in person? We highly recommend you do, but we understand if you’re interstate or have extenuating circumstances – we can arrange an online mock MMI simulation via Zoom as an alternative. It’s not quite the same as the in-person experience, but it will still be valuable practice. We also offer the option to schedule a private one-on-one mock interview with our tutors if needed (additional fee), for those who want even more practice or a tailor-made session focusing on specific areas.)
After Day 6, you’ll come away with experience, feedback, and a clear action plan for any last-minute polishing before the real interviews (which for most will be in the next 1-2 weeks). We’ll make sure you know exactly what to do in that final stretch – whether it’s practicing more sample questions, reviewing your framework notes, or just getting in the right mindset.
Why Choose Everest Over Other Interview Prep Options?
We know you have a few choices for interview preparation, so let’s talk straight: what makes Everest’s Ultimate Masterclass different (and better)?
🔍 Depth of Feedback: Many interview prep courses or books will give you model answers or general advice, but few provide the in-depth, personalized critique that we do. Because our program spans multiple days, we build in feedback at every stage – not just after a mock. Our tutors listen to every practice response you give in class and will jump in with tips. After each mock station, you get direct feedback. This level of individual attention is something large, one-off workshops simply can’t match. We treat your improvement like it’s our own mission – you’ll feel that support.
🎯 WA-Specific and Up-to-Date: Everest is a Perth-based company deeply familiar with the UWA and Curtin selection process. We’re not an interstate or online-only outfit giving generic interview tips. We know what past UWA/Curtin interview questions have looked like (and we stay current on any changes). Our content is continuously updated to reflect the latest format and expected themes. For instance, when Curtin introduced CASPer for shortlisting, we integrated that into our guidance for Curtin prep. When UWA emphasizes a new attribute in their admissions guide, we take note . You’re getting the most relevant prep possible.
⏱️ Realistic Simulation (No Surprises on Interview Day): Our mock MMIs are as close to the real deal as it gets. We use actual timers, buzzers, printed scenarios – the works. The interviewers you’ll face in our mocks mimic the demeanor of real interviewers (professional but neutral poker-faces at times!). We even hold the mocks at a university-style venue to give that formal atmosphere. By doing all this, we ensure that when you walk into UWA or Curtin’s interview room, nothing feels new – you’ve been there, done that. Other prep methods, like practicing at home with a friend, just can’t replicate that authenticity. With Everest, you’ll essentially have taken the interview for a “test drive” twice, so you’ll be calm and ready on the actual day.
In short, Everest’s Ultimate Interview Masterclass offers a level of personalization, realism, and expertise that you won’t find elsewhere in Perth. We’re aware of what other offerings are out there – and we’ve deliberately designed this program to be the most comprehensive and value-packed option, so you can confidently choose us as your prep partner.
(Oh, and did we mention? We’re nice people too! We know this process is stressful, and we pride ourselves on being approachable and supportive. We’ll push you to improve, but we’ll also be your cheerleaders throughout.)

FAQ:
Q: Who is this course for?
A: This masterclass is designed for Year 12s (and gap year/uni students) who have applied for undergraduate entry into UWA Medicine, UWA Dentistry, or Curtin Medicine for 2026 intake. If you’ve received (or expecting) an interview invitation at either UWA or Curtin, this course is ideal. Even if you haven’t got the invite yet but are optimistic based on your ATAR/UCAT, you’re welcome to join – better to be prepared! (If by chance you don’t end up getting an interview, we can discuss crediting you towards a future course or a refund.) Primarily we focus on the school-leaver MMIs, but students aiming for other interview pathways (e.g. Bond, JMP, etc.) have also joined our programs and found them useful since many interview skills are universal.
Q: I’m only applying for Dentistry – is it still worth doing?
A: Absolutely. The UWA dentistry interview uses the same MMI format as the medicine interview and assesses similar qualities. We make sure to include dentistry-related practice questions and discussion (like “Why Dentistry?”). In fact, in past courses we’ve had dedicated dentistry prep breakouts when enough dent students are enrolled. The core communication and ethical skills we teach are just as crucial for dental applicants. And you’ll still do the full mock MMIs, which will prepare you for any MMI-style interview. Many of our med prep students end up getting dent offers and vice versa – so we teach you to handle both. The bottom line: if you have a UWA dentistry interview, this course will help you nail it.
Q: What if I have a clash or can’t attend all the days?
A: We strongly encourage attending live if you can, because you’ll benefit from the interaction. However, we do provide recordings of the teaching sessions, so you can watch later if you miss one. We can also arrange for you to attend one of the teaching days at an alternate time if we run a second group (depends on demand). For the mock MMIs, if you absolutely can’t attend on Nov 20 or 21, please let us know – we might be able to fit you into a different session or do a one-on-one mock on another date. We’ll do our best to accommodate special circumstances. We want every student to get the full experience.
Q: I’m pretty shy and the idea of doing interviews scares me. Will this course help?
A: 100% yes. We have many students who start out nervous – that’s normal! The beauty of doing a prep course is that it desensitizes you to the pressure. By practicing in a safe, supportive environment, you’ll find your confidence gradually building. Our tutors are friendly and patient; they’ll work with you at your pace. We often see shy students blossom over the 6 days – by the second mock, they are speaking clearly and assertively. It’s wonderful to watch. By interview day, talking to an unknown interviewer will feel easier because you’ve essentially been training for it. So don’t worry – we’ve got your back, and we’ll help you overcome those nerves.
Q: Do you offer any guarantees?
A: We can’t guarantee you’ll get into medicine/dentistry (no one can ethically guarantee that), because there are many factors out of our control. But what we do guarantee is that we will deliver the course exactly as promised – with passionate teaching, lots of practice, and personalized feedback. We guarantee that you’ll come out of the course much better prepared than you were before. If you attend fully and put in the effort, you should see a significant improvement in your interview skills and confidence. Our track record speaks to that. In the unlikely event you feel something was lacking, talk to us – we truly care about student satisfaction and will try to make it right (whether it’s an extra help session or other support). Our goal is for you to finish the course feeling it was one of the best decisions you made in your prep.

Still unsure if it’s for you? Have a look at the evidence: Interviews are critically important, often weighted 50% of your entry score, and they test skills you might not pick up just by studying textbooks. With limited interview spots and fierce competition, professional preparation can dramatically improve your performance. As one med school interviewer famously said, “Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.” We’re here to ensure you don’t fail – you succeed brilliantly.
Secure your future in Medicine or Dentistry. Enroll in the Ultimate Interview Masterclass today, and let’s turn that interview into your stepping stone for a medical career! 🚀👩⚕️👨⚕️🦷
